This October, The Windlass in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, is proud to bring our community together for Halloween of Hope: Costumes for Kids, a special Halloween costume drive and community fundraiser supporting local children and families.

How to Donate Halloween Costumes

Participating is simple! Drop off a new, unused children’s Halloween costume at The Windlass anytime between October 1 and October 26, 2026.

We are accepting costumes for kids of all ages, from toddlers to teens. Every single donation will be delivered directly to Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, NJ, bringing the magic and distraction of Halloween to young patients receiving hospital care. A simple costume allows these children to take a break from medical routines and enjoy a moment of festive fun.

Dine to Donate at The Windlass: Monday, October 26

We are wrapping up this year’s drive on Monday, October 26, 2026, with an All-Day Dine to Donate event at The Windlass.

Join us for lunch, dinner, drinks, or your favorite waterfront dishes! A portion of all dining proceeds throughout the day will go directly to support local healthcare initiatives at Overlook Medical Center and Atlantic Health System programs.

It’s a wonderful way to enjoy a delicious meal by Lake Hopatcong while directly supporting healthcare efforts right here in our community.

Celebrate Halloween & Give Back in Lake Hopatcong

At The Windlass, we believe the best moments happen when neighbors come together. Halloween of Hope 2026 is our chance to brighten Halloween for hospital patients while giving back to the organizations that care for our families year-round.

How you can participate:

1. Drop off a new child’s costume at The Windlass from Oct 1–26.
2. Dine with us on October 26, a portion of sales goes directly to local healthcare programs.
3. Spread the word! Share this post with friends, family, and neighbors in Morris and Sussex counties.
